I stumbled across this plugin that just came out and could only find one review bcz its pretty new, but the review was good so i decided to buy it. I have been looking for a good glitch plugin that I can use on my mac and have used Major Malfunction (which I havent been able to get into bcz the demo beeps at you so it just isnt fun to experiment with. I bought Effectrix by SugarBytes and like that alot, and now i have Automaton. I think it is the most fun of the three. I have been fiddling with it for hours now and it sounds so great I had to come spread the good word! (:

I use Reaktor thermal glitch for all my sequencing "well not all just the glitch parts" and that is by far the best I have used. I am able to upload any of my wave parts and or synths and have a great time making it actually usable.. I don't like having to rely on pure chance with these others. But if you have found away to make it work for you more power to you my friend.. Now get to work.. :)

Thermal Glitch? Are sure you don't mean Terminal Glitch?
I also really like the ensemble "Rex in fx". Super simple but can be quite effective. And then there's always "fast fx" by Lazyfish.
Also check out out Replicant by Audio Damage. It's kind of like a suped up version of ableton's beat repeat but with some cool added functionality.

        Replicant is the shit.

Someone asked about whether Automaton would work with Live, and yes it will. All Audio Damage's plugins work real nice with Live, but my experience with Replicant is that if you really want to get a nice sound from it you should throw it on a return. AD doesn't test them in Live much and their lead developer really doesn't care for it, so they don't prvide any Live-specific suggestions. Your mileage may vary, but their plugs are fun as hell. Another plus is that the AU looks and sounds just like the VST, and on OS X the CPU hit is identical. My Windows DAW doesn't have nearly the horsepower of my Macbook so I can't speak to the CPU utilization on XP.
