Re: e-mu 1616m audio interface question
Thu, April 3, 2008 - 11:15 AM...I've got it... I picked it up from a friend, used, for $250... a sweet deal, considering street prices are still $400-500... it's got alot of capabilities!
the cardbus interface is solid, w/ it's own processor for sound... 192KHz is insanely fast, I don't ever use all of it's capabilities, though I might. Overall, it's a great 'mini studio' interface... but, I don't like lugging around a power adapter and cords for it... so, I bought an Echo Indigo DJ, for DJing... I've considered buying something USB powered, or the Echo I O cardbus, for mobile recording...
generally, I consider cardbus to be the most solid and powerful PC sound interface.

Re: e-mu 1616m audio interface question
Sat, April 5, 2008 - 12:36 PMI've got to say I'm pretty happy with mine...I haven't really learned it the way I've learned Ableton, but it works pretty well. I need to trouble shoot it a little, sometimes it gets buzzy, but I think I have my sample rate wrong, so its probably me. I think if you really learned it, it would be a very cool device to have around (I just use it to record and then move on...)
